Colombia is one of the most amazing places you could ever go to. With its amazing views, food, and culture it is one of a kind. The main influences of Colombia are the spanish and afro-carribean helped shape  what Colombia is today. The spanish contributed art, religion, and traditions but mainly art. The houses and streets you see in Colombia are contributed by the spanish. Mostly all colombians are roman catholic and that is widely because the spanish were roman catholic. The language in Colombia is strictly Spanish but others mix in a little of  65 Amerindian languages, 2 Creole languages,  Portuguese and the Romani language are spoken in the country.

Colombian food is mainly made up of great spanish flow with a high afro carribean influence. There are many dishes in colombia that are absolutely amazing but one dish that has that afro carribean influence( just one of many) is arepas. Arepas is just a flour or corn meal type of bread that can be served with breakfast, lunch or dinner. It can be served with mainly any type of meat, or on the coast it would be served with like a form of Caribbean shrimp or lobster.

It is the second largest carnaval in the world. It is celebrated leading up to the days of ash wednesday.
